Activity types
Activity types are the vocabulary of the CRM timeline: what kind of entry a salesperson logs on an organization or a contact — a call, a visit, a note.
Where you find it
Commerce Studio › Configuration › Activity types —
/commerce/configuration?tab=activity-types.

What it does
Seven types ship built in: System, Note (the default), Phone call, Email, Meeting, Visit and Task. System is the exception — it is written by the platform itself for the audit trail, and a person cannot file one; that keeps the registration decisions on a timeline honest. New activity type adds your own.
