Understand the tenant model
Tenant, app, subscription and market — the four ideas the rest of the platform hangs off.
Most administration confusion is one of four words being mistaken for another. A tenant is your company. An app is a unit of capability, and everything you already use is one, including the screens that were there on your first day. Your subscription decides which apps come included. A market is a business context inside your one tenant, not a second tenant.
The same page draws the line that catches everyone: your colleagues in the Cockpit and your customers' buyers in your shop are two separate sets of people, with separate logins and separate roles.
- Tenants, apps and markets — what a tenant is, why everything is an app, what your subscription includes, and where markets fit.
