Dashboards and reports
The prepared views, running reports over your own data, and building the board your team actually needs.
Analytics Studio is designed in three levels, and they are worth using in order. The prepared views answer the standard questions with no work at all. Reports run over the datasets your installed apps publish, filtered by segments you save once. The chart builder is for the questions neither of those covers.
Most teams jump straight to building custom dashboards and end up maintaining charts nobody opens. Start at the top of this list and only move down when the level above does not answer the question.
Cockpit screens: planned. Analytics Studio is not yet available on your
tenant. The three pages in this chapter describe how its screens will work once
it ships, so you can decide now what you will want from them. What you can use
today: the Order history figures on every organization in CRM and
segments built on them, plus CSV exports of
orders for anything else.
- Dashboards and KPIs — the planned standard views, what each number means, and which to read weekly.
- Reports and exports — run a report over your own data and get it out as CSV.
- Build a custom dashboard — widgets, snapshots, and freezing a number before a meeting.
