Measure and troubleshoot

Keep it healthy — Search & Discovery.

Search degrades quietly. Nobody files a ticket for a query that returned the right article second; they phone, or they order elsewhere. The two pages in this chapter are the two habits that catch it: a monthly read of a handful of numbers, and a fixed diagnosis order for the three complaints that do arrive ("it is not found", "the wrong one is first", "it is slow").

Cockpit screens: planned. The Search app's analytics screens are not yet available on your tenant, and neither is Analytics Studio. The definitions on these pages are worth fixing now, so the numbers mean the same thing on the day the screens arrive as they do in the export you run until then. What you can already use today: your storefront's search log and tracking as the data source, and the product data checks in Common search problems, which run on the product enabled flag, channel assignment, localized names and filterable attributes, all of which exist today.
